PARK RULES & REGULATIONS

Virginia Law (Code 32-6, State Health Department) prohibits dumping of sink and shower waste onto the ground. This prohibition will be enforced in this campground. Facilities are provided for this purpose.  

  1. These rules shall apply to all persons who enter the campground for any reason, Violations shall be cause for removal from grounds or other appropriate action, Refunds will not be given.

  2. The speed limit is 5 mph in the campground and 15 mph in the park, Please watch out for children,

  3. Please be sure you are in the site assigned, You will be asked to move if you are in the wrong site. Do not move from one campsite to another or move equipment without permission

  4. Registered campers shall be responsible for the conduct of their guests at all times, Visitors must check in with the park office, You are responsible to see that your guests depart the campground prior to closing. No guest can remain overnight unless arrangements are made with the park office.

  5. Quiet time is from 10:30pm to 7am.

  6. Gates open at 8 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. Lift the gate up and out of the holder, it will be not be locked, If you should enter or leave the park during closed hours, please close the gate. Hours subject to change during the off season.

  7. Check-out time is 12 noon, Unless office is notified and arrangements made, an additional day’s rental will be charged.

  8. Pets: a) must be kept on a leash at all times. b) Cannot be left unattended in/or around camper. c) Owners must police pet relief area. d) Pets are not allowed at the pool or other recreational areas. e) Barking pets are not tolerated at any time (see office for list of local kennels).

  9. Fire: a) Fire pits are provided at most sites, b) Firewood is for sale at the park office. c) Wood shall not be gathered from wooded areas. d) All fires must be out before retiring for night.

  10. Garbage: a) Place is plastic bag and leave at road for daily pickup or deposit in proper trash containers. b) Do not place on table or in fire rings. c) Do not put non-burnable trash in fire rings.

  11. Alcoholic Beverages: a) Shall not be consumed outside of site area b) No open cans or bottles allowed on roadways, pool, or recreational areas. (In Virginia, all persons must be 21 years old to possess or use alcoholic beverages).

  12. The discharging of firearms, fireworks, rockets or other explosives is prohibited.

  13. Operation of mini-bikes or motor-scooters are prohibited except in special areas approved by management.

  14. There shall be no washing of cars or campers. No oil changes or repairs shall be done unless approved by management.

  15. Do not park cars on the grass or in other sites that are not assigned to you.

  16. Parents are responsible for the actions and safety of their children.

  17. Campers are held responsible for any damages to campsites or any other park property.

  18. Please check your camping area and be able to say that it is in the same condition or better than you found it. Report any repair that is needed to the office.

  19. Proper conduct is requested at all times.  Please respect your camping neighbor.

  20. Glen Maury Park is not responsible for accidents or injury to our guests or for loss of money, jewelry or valuables of any kind.

  21. Park is patrolled by Park Rangers and Local Police for your safety.

GOLF CART RULES

  1. All golf cart drivers must register at the park office or event front gate.

  2. Licensed drivers ONLY!

  3. Absolutely NO open containers on golf carts. Strictly enforced.

  4. Carts that will be operated after dark must have lights.

  5. No golf carts are to be operated after midnight.

  6. All golf cart owners must have an insurance policy on cart, prior to operating at Glen Maury Park.

  7. Must post cart registration card in a visible area on the cart.

  8. Anyone caught driving in an unsafe manner (including speeding) will lose cart driving privileges.

  9. Obey all traffic signs. State traffic laws apply to Glen Maury Park unless otherwise specified.

  10. Golf carts can only be used in special areas approved by management.

  11. Each operator shall operate golf cart in a careful and safe manner.

  12. Neither the City of Buena Vista nor Glen Maury Park shall be liable for any injury to person or property that might result from the use of a golf cart.
